A company founded by business partners Sandy Douglass and Ray McLeod, the Grand River, Ohio sailboat builder produced vessels through the 1950s until the 1980s. Beginning in 1951 producing wooden boats, Douglass & Mcleod Incorporated originally manufactured hulls in wood before transitioning to more modern fiberglass construction. Douglass & Mcleod Incorporated created many popular vessel designs through their production run including the Flying Scot and the Highlander.
