Constructing a line-up of sailing vessels catering from many recreational marine interests, Gloucester Yachts range in hull sizes from 11 to 27 feet. Gloucester Yachts came into existence in the 1980s after previously been known as Lockley Newport Boats. Part of Gloucester Yachts line-up included the 18-foot Buccaneer vessel that was originally assembled by Chrysler Marine company in the late 1960s. Based in the state of Virginia, Gloucester Yachts went out of business in 1988.
