Regarded by some as the "Cadillac of Houseboats," Lazy Days Manufacturing Company was founded in the 1950s. Lazy Days Manufacturing Company is credited as one of the first houseboat builders to utilize aluminum hull construction in 1967. Business for Lazy Days Manufacturing Company would bloom through the succeeding decades but took a turn through the 1980s. Lazy Days Manufacturing Company was sold to Somerset Marine in 1987.
