Established in 1958 as a South Carolina based builder of powerboats, Renken Boat Manufacturing originally produced plywood vessels before upgrading to fiberglass construction forward from the 1960s. Renken Boat Manufacturing vessels consisted by bow riders, cuddy cruisers and even center console designs ideal for almost any type of recreational boating. Suffering from a fire in the 1980s, Renken Boat Manufacturing would eventually meet its demise after 37 years. In 1995, the Renken Boat Manufacturing business was sold through a bank-controlled sale.
