Laminex Industries of Canada was established in 1983 as an importer of sailboats. Operating for only a brief period, the Oakland, California company marketed the day-sailing 12-foot Mini as well as the 22-foot Pocket Rocket and the Expo 29-foot vessel. The 22-foot Pocket Rocket produced by Laminex Industries of Canada would find new life in 2004 when Rocket Boats manufactured a modernized model.
