A marine manufacturer headquartered in Amityville, New York, Menger Boatworks produced a wide range of sailboats starting in 1981. Constructing fiberglass vessels such as the Oysterman line in its first year, the Menger Cat 17 was added to Menger Boatworks in 1982. Menger Boatworks was briefly involved in powerboats in 1989 and 1990 producing a 20-foot watercraft. Menger Boatworks ended production of their sailboats in 2004 as Thompson Boatworks acquiring the company‘s remains.
