Building airboats for many customers including law enforcement and environmental agencies, Air Gator has also been providing a large quantity of vessels for recreational purposes. Founded in 1964, Air Gator airboats are powered by a modified Chevrolet truck engines pushing a large fan. While the brand ceased operations after 2004, Air Gator products continue to be made under Alumitech Incorporated.
