Importer of the 36-foot Monk trawler, North Sea Yachts began marketing vessels in 1984. Originally built in Taiwan but later assembled in Canada, the Monk motorboat distributed by North Sea Yachts through the United States was designed to win customers of cruising yachts and sport-fishing vessels, North Sea Yachts/Monk Trawler went out of business after the 2008 model year.
