Like many auto companies in the 1970s into the 1990s, Toyota has featured several wagons in their vehicle line-up. The last traditional Toyota wagon was built on the Camry appearing for the last time in North America in 1996. In recent years, Toyota's attachment to the wagon body style has resulted in some blurred styling. Based on the Corolla, the compact yet spacious Matrix provided a sizable cargo area and popular reliability. Assembled on the borderline of wagon and crossover vehicle is the Toyota Venza. Boasting up to 34.4 cubic feet of cargo space and five-passenger capacity, the Venza featured a ground clearance taller than what would typically be found with a car.
