The 1999 Toyota range is largely unchanged from the previous year with exception to one new addition. For potential drivers interested in a trustworthiness of the Toyota Camry with an extra sense of intimacy, the two-door Camry Solara premieres for 1999. Toyota appears to have temporarily abandoned the subcompact car market in 1999 with the discontinuation of the Tercel. There are several minor improvements made to the Toyota 4Runner for 1999 that includes a new front bumper and additional equipment to the Limited model such as color-matching running boards. The remaining vehicles in the 1999 Toyota line-up continue to tout reliability and high long-term resale value.
