Audi introduces a new dedicated sports car to their product line for 2000. Inspired by a concept car, the heavily-rounded Audi TT design presents an ultramodern approach to compact performance driving. The 2+2 passenger 2000 Audi TT is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated with a five-speed manual transmission and available with quattro all-wheel drive. Besides the new sports car, Audi has energized their A4 and A6 models with additional performance. Powered by a 250-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6 engine, the 2000 Audi S4 wears unique, sport-oriented bodywork and 17-inch wheels. For 2000, the Audi A6 line-up receives additional powerplant options. A twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6 and a 300-horsepower 4.2-liter V-8 engine are now available on the sedan version of A6. The flagship A8 sedan receives a mild redesign for 2000 featuring clear headlight housings and an altered grille.
