For compact car buyers wanting the 165-horsepower 2.5 RS version in a four-door body style, the 2000 model year expands performance-rated Subaru Impreza trim to the sedan. Subaru's crossover wagon, the 2000 Forester, is no longer offered with a base trim resulting in only the better equipped L and S versions being sold for 2000.
