The 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle is a two-door fun car that is offered in three trims with a range of engine choices. The exterior styling is an homage to the classic Beetles of years past but with a modern twist. The New Beetle seats four comfortably. Available engines include a 115 hp 2.0L inline-four, a 1.9L very fuel-efficient turbodiesel inline-four, and a 150 hp 1.8L turbocharged inline-four cylinder engine. A five-speed manual is the standard transmission while a four-speed automatic is optional.
