Performance has been upscaled in Audi's 2004 line-up with the introduction of a new sport model and a larger engine in a popular sports car. Offered with the sedan, Avant wagon and Cabrio body style, the 2004 Audi S4 features 340 horsepower from a 4.2-liter V-8 engine as the source of serious movement. For the first time, a V-6 engine is offered on the Audi TT for 2004. The optional 250-horsepower six-cylinder powerplant is offered with the coupe as well as the Roadster body style and comes with standard quattro all-wheel drive. For 2004, the Audi A8 L extended length sedan receives all-new styling that previews the design for the upcoming standard wheelbase A8. Equipped with standard quattro all-wheel drive, the 2004 Audi A8 L is powered by a 4.2-liter V-8 mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. The Audi S8 has been discontinued for the 2004 model year along with the S6 Avant and the RS6 sedan.
