For 2005, the Chrysler line-up is the recipient of two of the first vehicles created by the collective engineering of the merged DaimlerChrysler entity. An upscale crossover wagon, the all-new 2004 Chrysler Pacifica features car-like handling attributes alongside utility vehicle capacity. Based heavily on a Mercedes-Benz SLK platform, the 2004 Chrysler Crossfire is offered as a halo car for the brand. The two-seat hatchback incorporates well-sculpted body lines and power from a 215-horsepower V-6 engine. Chrysler's more budget-friendly minivan, the Voyager, has been axed from the 2004 line-up. Filling the void, Chrysler reintroduces the short-wheelbase version of the Town & Country. The addition of a new Touring trim level to the 2004 Chrysler Town & Country in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations is also new. The 2004 Chrysler Sebring sedan and convertible gain the revised styling that was introduced on the coupe in the previous model year. A detuned 180-horsepower turbocharged engine is optional on the Touring and Limited version of the Chrysler PT Cruiser for 2004.
