Part of some massive changes planned for Buick's sedan line-up, the 2005 LaCrosse is a striking new example of a refreshed image for the premium brand. Propelled by V-6 engine power, the 2005 Buick LaCrosse features a base CX model with standard four-wheel disc brakes and traction control. Five-passenger and six-passenger versions of the LaCrosse are offered. The final run of the Buick Park Avenue is taking place for the 2005 model year. Along with the all-new LaCrosse sedan, Buick also enters uncharted territory for the brand with the Terraza. Buick's first minivan, the Terraza is being sold to the upscale family customer. The 2005 model year contains a number of departures in the Buick vehicle range. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive is offered on the 2005 Buick Terraza. 2005 Terraza and LaCrosse are both available with a remote starting system. The Buick Regal has been discontinued with the debut of the 2005 Buick LaCrosse. The Buick Century continues for one final year with a special edition version offered. A nameplate first used by Buick 30 years ago, Park Avenue's departure is being marked with the final 3,000 models wearing Special Edition.
