A carry-over from 2004, the Freestar is now available with a third-row tailgate bench seat as standard equipment on all models. The Freestar Wagon is offered in three trim levels – the SE, SEL and Limited, all with front-wheel-drive configuration (with all-wheel-drive as an option). The base engine is a 3.9-liter V6 that produces 194 horsepower, or the 4.2-liter that increases horsepower to 201. All models come standard with a four-speed automatic transmission.
