The 2005 MINI Cooper Convertible allows riders of the compact car to enjoy an open-air driving experience. A soft-top roof is power retractable and can be opened just partway in a manner described as "sunroof mode". Similar to the MINI Cooper hatchback of previous model years, the Cooper Convertible is available in a base model or sport-themed Cooper S trim level. In addition to the arrival of the drop-top, the 2005 MINI Cooper hardtop hatchback is treated to a mild styling update to the exterior.
