The 2005 Saturn Ion is offered in two body styles – a four door Sedan or a Quad Coupe with uniquely-hinged rear doors – in three trim levels aptly named Ion 1, Ion 2 and Ion 3. The Ion gets some "news” this year, including larger seats and improved handling. Under the hood, the Ion comes equipped with a 140 horsepower 2.2-liter inline 4-cylinder with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. A 4-speed automatic is offered as an option. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, an adjustable steering wheel, AM/FM/CD/MP3, airbags, ABS and traction control.
