A 443-horsepower engine dropped into the 2006 XLR-V allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.6 seconds. The 2006 STS-V and XLR-V introduce Driver Shift Control as a component to the six-speed automatic transmission. The existing CTS-V receives an engine bored-out to a 6.0-liter displacement for 2006.
