A law enforcement version of the Ford Crown Victoria, the 2006 Ford Police Interceptor is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine that produces 250 hp and 287 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission the Crown Victoria achieves an EPA estimated 14 mpg city and 21 mpg highway. The brakes on the Police Interceptor have been updated to aid in pursuit driving. 17-inch wheels and a heavy-duty frame/suspension rounds out the adjustments made to the Crown Victoria to make it law enforcement ready.
