Honda's 2006 vehicle line-up is highlighted by a redesigned favorite and a newcomer. Premiering in 2006 is the eighth generation Honda Civic involving a sleeker exterior and an interior that incorporates a two-tier instrument panel. Along with promoting new technologies for greater safety and entertainment, the 2006 Civic also marks a return with the Si. Built as a hatchback from 2002 to 2005, the new Civic Si trim level reverts back to the coupe body style that is now powered by a 197-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Based on a concept vehicle, the Honda Ridgeline debuts as the Japanese brand's first North American production product with a bed box. While boasting the flexibility of a pickup truck, the 2006 Ridgeline is focused around urban use and comfort. Also worth noting, an all-new EX-P version of the 2006 Honda Element provides a single color body appearance that replaces the front, rear and roof cladding.
