The 2006 model year for Hyundai features three all-new vehicles. Hyundai's economy four-door, the 2006 Accent sedan, is completely refined for 2006. Built on a larger overall platform, the new Hyundai Accent sedan boasts an expanded interior and an increased array of safety features such six airbags. An all-new 2006 Hyundai Sonata mid-sized sedan also grows in overall length. The 2006 Sonata sports a sleek, modernized body style with a unibody frame utilizing high-tensile steel construction. All-new engines with the 2006 Hyundai Sonata deliver greater power and feature Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT). Replacing the XG350, Hyundai's premium sedan segment entrant becomes the Azera. The 2006 Hyundai Azera is fashioned in an aerodynamic shape that also maximizes interior passenger space for optimum comfort. An all-aluminum, 3.8-liter V-6 engine producing 263-horsepower insures the Azera sails with premium acceleration. The 2006 Hyundai Elantra removes the GT sedan but adds an upscale Limited trim level that includes a woodgrain interior trim and leather-wrapped steering wheel. Limited trim versions of the Tucson is also a new addition to the 2006 Hyundai line-up. Anti-lock braking system is now standard on all Hyundai Tiburons for 2006.
