Big changes have been made to the MINI lineup for 2007 thanks to the arrival of an all-new Cooper hardtop. The second generation MINI Cooper's appearance maintains similarities with the previous vehicle but features increased overall length and upgraded mechanical components. The 2007 MINI Cooper hardtop's momentum is provided through an all-new naturally aspirated, 1.6-liter four-cylinder incorporating BMW's Valvetronic technology. Switching from a supercharger to a turbocharger, the 2007 MINI Cooper S hardtop's new engine propels the vehicle with 172 horsepower. While the MINI Cooper hardtop has been upgraded for 2007, the MINI Cooper Convertible will remain based on the first generation design and hardware.
