A carry-over from 2006, the Mariner is a four-door five-passenger cross-over sport utility vehicle that is offered in three trim levels, convenience, luxury and premier in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configuration. The base engine is a 2.3Liter inline four-cylinder that produces 153HP, and a 24 valve 3.0Liter V6 that puts out 200HP. All traditional gas engine models come with a four-speed automatic transmission. There is also a Hybrid model that has an inline four-cylinder which produces 133HP and is capable of 33MPG in the city with the help of a variable speed automatic transmission.
