For 2008, the Land Rover lineup expands to four vehicles with the addition of LR2. Replacing the 2006 Freelander as an entry-level premium sport utility vehicle for Land Rover, the 2008 LR2 comes standard with several high-end features such as leather seating. A 230-horsepower, 3.2-liter six-cylinder engine and Terrain Response system are included on the all-wheel drive 2008 Land Rover LR2. At the same time the LR2 arrives, the Land Rover LR3 has dropped its V-6 powerplant option leaving the 300-horsepower 4.4-liter V-8 engine as exclusive propulsion for the sport utility vehicle. While the Range Rover flagship sport utility is left unchanged for 2008, the Range Rover Sport includes increased power accessories.
