2008 model year changes

The Subaru Impreza, and its high-performance kin, the WRX, have been completely redesigned for 2008, with two new body styles, new styling, and a roomier, more refined interior. Both models ride on a wheelbase that's 3.7 inches longer for better ride quality and improved interior space. Also, for the first time, side-curtain air bags are standard across the line, and electronic stability control, called vehicle dynamics control in the Impreza, is available for the first time.

Special features for 2008

The 2008 Subaru Impreza continues to stand out from the rest of the small-car crowd because it offers road-oriented all-wheel drive across the line, while the interior is more sophisticated and the ride is smoother. The WRX still ranks as one of the best performance bargains on the market.

The 2008 Subaru Impreza four door Sedan sports a new, more refined style this year. It’s offered in 2.5i and WRX trims, with engines ranging from a 170 horsepower 2.5-liter flat 4-cylinder, with your choice of a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission, to a 224 horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder in the WRX. AWD comes standard. The Impreza Sedan boasts a solid list of standard features, including air, cruise, keyless entry, power controls, AM/FM/CD/MP3/Satellite radio, front and side-head airbags, ABS brakes, daytime running lights and fog lamps.
