Unchanged for 2009, the Cadillac SRX is a midsize luxury crossover SUV that combines sports sedan-like performance with all the roomy comfort and utility of a luxury SUV. Available with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, the SRX offers two engine choices: a 3.6L V6 engine that produces 255 hp and 254 lb-ft of torque, matched to a five-speed automatic transmission, or a 4.6L V8 engine that pumps out 320 hp and 315 lb-ft of torque equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission. EPA-estimated fuel economy for the rear-wheel-drive SRX V6 is 15 mpg city/22 mpg hwy and 17 mpg in combined driving, while the V8 rates 13/20/16, and the AWD suffers a small hit on fuel mileage. As shown in Cadillac SRX photos, the crossover SUV boasts the largest sunroof available in its segment and can seat up to seven passengers, when equipped with the optional third-row power-folding seat. Amenities include a power lift gate, dual-zone climate control, an 8-speaker Bose audio system and numerous easy-to-access storage compartments. Antilock disc brakes with brake assist, stability control, front-seat side airbags and side curtain airbags for the first two rows come standard.
