For 2010, an all-new vehicle will press the Porsche badge into unknown territories with a so-called Gran Turismo body style. A four-door coupe borrowing Porsche's distinct styling character, the Panamera premieres as a radical departure from the German brand's heritage. Establishing a new future of recognition, the 2010 Porsche Panamera comfortably fits four occupants and arrives as a 400-horsepower or 500-horsepower turbocharged model. The Porsche 911 Carrera remains relatively uncharged for 2010 but the 911 Turbo and 911 GT3 have been reworked. The 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo now generates 500 horsepower through engine improvements and is now available with the seven-speed PDK transmission. An upgraded naturally-aspirated 3.8-liter engine powering the 911 GT3 RS generates up to 450 horsepower. For 2010, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS' options list includes a lithium-ion battery in place of a lead-acid battery. The base model of the 2010 Porsche Cayenne regains V-6 powered entry-level propelled by a 3.6-liter V-6 producing 290 horsepower. Changes to Porsche's 2010 Boxster and Cayman lineups are minor.
