A newcomer to the luxury, mid-sized sedan class, the 2011 Hyundai Genesis is continuing to pleasantly persuade many premium car buyers with its design and initial build quality. The 2011 Hyundai Genesis sedan's trim level standard features and options are defined by engine choice of either the 3.8 liter V-6 or the 4.6 liter V-8. All 2011 Hyundai Genesis offer standard equipment such as leather upholstery with a power 8-way heated driver seat, dual automatic climate control and a power glass sunroof. 2011 Genesis sedans with the 4.6 liter V-8 receives more luxury including a new, standard Technology Package topped by a 17-speaker 7.1 Lexicon discrete audio system. Awarded a marginal 10 horsepower boost over last year, V-8 engine runs with 385 horsepower and 333 pounds feet of torque. Thanks to pairing both engines with a 6-speed automatic transmission, fuel economy is 21 miles per gallon for combined city and highway driving with the 3.8 liter V-6 Genesis or 19 miles per gallon combined if the 2011 Genesis is cruising with the 4.6 liter V-8. HID headlamps and smart cruise control is optional equipment on the 2011 Hyundai Genesis sedan.

Following much initial success in the luxury sedan, Hyundai's popular Genesis receives modest upgrades for 2011. The Genesis sedan receives a front end freshening with updated grille and fascia, while in back the taillights and exhaust tips have been revised slightly. Hyundai has made the Tech Package standard in the 4.6 sedan, with the car's price rose a bit to reflect the increased standard equipment.
