For 2011, Porsche's sport utility vehicle will once again cause the sports car world to see the German performance brand differently. The 2011 model year Cayenne will feature Porsche's first-ever production-based hybrid powertrain. Allowing the sport crossover to travel up to 24 miles per gallon on the highway, the Cayenne S Hybrid combines a 3.0-liter V-6 with an electric motor. One year after introduction, the Porsche Panamera accelerates into 2011 with a new base model powerplant. The new 3.6-liter V-6 propelled entry-level Panamera charges with 300 horsepower and is available in an all-wheel drive Panamera S model. For more traditional Porsche performance, the 2011 Porsche 911 receives a new wide-body GTS model and a limited edition 911 GT2 RS boasting to be the more powerful street legal Porsche ever with a 620-horsepower engine. A likely delight for sports car purists, the all-new Boxster Spyder has undergone an extensive weight reduction and is powered by a 320-horsepower version of the Boxster S' 3.4-liter engine.
