The MINI lineup grows to seven vehicles for 2013. Essentially a two-door hatchback version of the Countryman, the new 2013 MINI Paceman is available with front-wheel drive and MINI's ALL4 all-wheel drive. Beyond the introduction of the Paceman, MINI's 2013 improvements have been in the pursuit of performance. After two years on the market, the MINI Countryman is now incorporated into the John Cooper Works performance line. A 208-horsepower engine provides the 2013 MINI Countryman John Cooper Works with a sense of momentum never seen from the premium compact crossover. Beyond the general John Cooper Works trim level, MINI has prepared an enhanced John Cooper Works GP model based on the 2013 Cooper hardtop. Attributes of the vehicle include a reworked suspension, brakes with six-piston front calipers as well as unique bodywork. Production for the John Cooper Works GP model is limited to 2,000 worldwide with 500 models intended for the United States. Bluetooth connectivity has become standard equipment across the 2013 MINI vehicle fleet.
