2013 model year changes View changes +

2013 Brings a couple of additions to the Cayenne model range. For the first time in the US, the Cayenne is available with a diesel engine. It's a turbocharged V6 unit making 240 horsepower and a whopping 406 lb-feet of torque. Rated at 29 mpg on the highway, the Cayenne Diesel is theoretically capable of traveling 740 miles on a single tank. The Cayenne GTS also makes its return to the Cayenne lineup for 2013. The GTS occupies the space between the S and the Turbo in Porsche's lineup. Lower and with a meaner appearance than the S, the GTS also makes an additional 20 horsepower thanks to a sportier exhaust system. Acceleration is improved through a shorter final drive ratio. Featuring a couple of unique trim pieces and unique 20-inch wheels, the GTS features much of the aggression of the Turbo at a lower price point.

The Porsche Cayenne represents the ultimate in SUV performance and capability. All are agile, quick, able handlers that rival many sports cars, but also offer the versatility of being able tow between 6,000 and 7,700 pounds. With six trim levels available--Base, Diesel, S, GTS, Turbo and S Hybrid--there's a Cayenne to suit all enthusiasts in the range from mild to wild. With a base price of just $48,850 getting into a Cayenne rather than a BMW or Mercedes SUV is a real option.
