Now featuring more horsepower from the diesel engine, the 2013 Volkswagen Touareg is a mid-size SUV available with three different engines; 3.6-liter V6 (280 hp/265 lb-ft of torque), 3.0-liter V6 TDI® Clean Diesel engine (240 hp/406 lb-ft of torque) and a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 hybrid engine (380 hp/425 lb-ft of torque). All engines are paired with the same 8-speed automatic transmission and 4MOTION® permanent AWD system. Fuel consumption falls within an EPA estimated range of 16 mpg city to 28 mpg highway, depending on engine selection.
