New 2016 Toyota Prius Prices

The 2016 Toyota Prius is five-passenger hatchback that comes in seven trim levels, nicely outfitted in the base model. The entry-level model offers 15” alloy wheels, automated LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED tail lamps, heated and powered side mirrors, remote entry and start, automated climate control, dual 4.2” screens, tilting and telescoping steering wheel, 6.1” touchscreen console with the Entune interface, 60/40 split and fold rear seating, Bluetooth/iPod/USB integration and six-speaker audio system. Upping the trim level can add low-resistance tires, upgraded wheels, upgraded touchscreen interface, illuminated door handles, HD radio, wireless phone charging stations, automated climate control, collision mitigation system, powered and heated front seating, sunroof, premium audio system and more. Driving this car is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor, able to make 121 horsepower.

The Prius has been totally redesigned for 2016. The new exterior is bold and modern, while numerous improvements have also been made under the skin. The new drivetrain is now even more efficient, with special low friction components, a redesigned air intake and improvements to airflow inside the combustion chamber. The new drivetrain even manages to be lighter than the outgoing one further helping to improve fuel economy, Toyota expects about a 10 percent improvement over the 2015 model. The interior has also been redesigned with plenty of new technology, helping to maintain that cutting edge feel that the Prius is so well known for.
