A new model, heavily-enhanced electric car and breakthrough technologies are part of the 2018 Nissan product range. Arriving in the middle of the 2018 calendar year, the Nissan Kicks is the Japanese brand's newest entry-level compact crossover. Taking the place of the outgoing Juke, the 2018 Kicks maintains a playful design with bold wheel arches on the outside and a ‘Gliding Wing' dashboard inside. First introduced in 2010, the Nissan Leaf is recorded as one of the world's best-selling electric cars. The all-electric Nissan Leaf undergoes its first complete redesign in 2018. Along with sharpened styling, the 2018 Leaf operates on a new powertrain delivering 147 horsepower. Installation of a new 40-kWh lithium-ion battery pack extends driving range for the Nissan Leaf to 150 miles. Along with the increased availability of advanced safety technology such as Automatic Emergency Braking and Intelligent Rearview Mirror, Nissan makes a pioneering step in semi-autonomous driving. ProPilot Assist operates as a driving aid for better control through single-lane highway driving. This new system appears on the Rogue as well as the Leaf for 2018. RearView Monitor is now standard equipment on all Nissan NV vans as well as the Frontier pickup truck.
