About S5
Simultaneously arriving alongside the newly released A5 coupe in 2008, the Audi S5 introduced as an eight-cylinder powered premium sport coupe. The 2008 Audi S5 came standard-equipped with a 354-horsepower 4.2-liter V-8 engine that would be mated with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
The 2008 Audi S5 included standard quattro all-wheel drive. Exterior and interior trim enhancements providing a more athletic two-door appearance includes 18-inch alloy wheels as well as xenon headlights. Inside the 2008 Audi S5, leather sport seating and navigation system was included standard. In 2010, a two-door convertible joined the Audi S5 coupe. A smaller 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 powerplant option was added to the 2010 Audi S5 line-up delivering 333-horsepower.
The 2013 Audi S5 was treated to a styling facelift featuring a new grille and headlight appearance. The V-8 engine was dropped from the S5 line-up in 2013 leaving only the supercharged six-cylinder engine. Audi Drive Select was added as standard on the 2014 Audi S5 and a Black Optic exterior package became optional.
