Debuting for in 2007 as GMC's first crossover utility vehicle, the Acadia reliability featured a strong V-6 engine and capacity for up to eight occupants over the course of 10 years. For the 2017 model year, GMC introduced drastically altered their large crossover to conform to a downsized format for its second generation. Despite the new GMC Acadia's arrival, the older first generation design remains available for 2017 as the Acadia Limited. Featuring a familiar look and equipment, the 2017 GMC Acadia Limited crossover is offered only in a base trim level. The crossover comes premium equipped with standard features such as automatic tri-mode climate control, HID headlights and 10-speaker Bose premium audio system. Propelled by a 281-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine connected to a six-speed automatic transmission, the Acadia Limited can be opted with a front-wheel or an all-wheel drivetrain. With the new Acadia's 7.2-inch shorter overall length, the GMC Acadia Limited maintains an advantage of increased interior cargo space. The Acadia Limited's 24.1 cubic feet of room behind the third-row seating is 11.3 cubic feet greater than the its successor.
