Ram Truck ProMaster Cargo Van Models and ProMaster Cargo Van History

Made possible by Fiat Automobiles investment of Chrysler Group, Ram gained the ProMaster Cargo Van for the 2014 model year as a much-needed addition to the brand's commercial vehicle portfolio. A successor of the Dodge Sprinter, the Ram ProMaster has been known in Europe as the Fiat Ducato. Offered in four body lengths, three wheelbases as well as with a choice of a high roof model, the Ram ProMaster Cargo Van boasted a functional design and incredible work flexibility. Differing from its European descendant, the 2014 Ram full-sized van's standard power was derived from the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine producing 280 horsepower. A 3.0-liter EcoDiesel powerplant was also made available on the ProMaster Cargo Van delivering potent low-end torque. An optional M40 six-speed transmission operates as an automated manual gearbox that can function as an automatic or be shifted by the driver. For 2016, the ProMaster Cargo Van was improved through guidance from customer input with upfitter switches and a chrome grille option.
