The industry associations are a wealth of knowledge for the prospective manufactured or modular homeowner. Typically, they will have printed literature to assist the buyer in their search for their new home.
In addition, the state associations will have first-hand knowledge of the market areas the home buyer is considering. Are their many manufactured home communities? Will certain counties, cities, or townships allow manufactured homes; or would a modular be a better choice for that area? The state level association can also tell the buyer which manufacturers market to their state and they may even have a list of dealers for the area.
