Operating from the early 1970s until the 1980 model year, the Mankato, Minnesota based Kayot produced a wide variety of recreational vehicles. First building motorhomes in 1970 under the Wanderer name, Kayot would migrate into constructing fifth wheel and travel trailers. Kayot final year of production in 1980 was devoted exclusively to trailers between 21 and 35 feet in length.
