An ongoing modern evolution of luxury car maker Cadillac continues into 2005. The 2005 Cadillac STS is an all-new premium sport sedan taking the place of the Seville. Borrowing considerable design inspiration from the successful Cadillac CTS, the high-ranking 2005 STS utilizes a standard rear-wheel drive layout with an optional all-wheel drive setup. A new, smaller six-cylinder engine is added to the 2005 Cadillac CTS. The 2.8-liter powerplant serves as the basis for a new base level CTS sedan. Introduced last year, the Cadillac SRX now offers the fast-adapting Magnetic Ride Control suspension on its rear-wheel drive model. A new towing package on the 2005 SRX dramatically improves the practicality of the luxury utility vehicle. Some mild changes have been made to the 2005 Cadillac Escalade resulting in new interior trim and a better cooling system.
