Chrysler enters 2005 with attention devoted to a pair of pivotal vehicles. Replacing the 300M and Concorde, Chrysler has pursued a different direction with their full-sized sedan for 2005. The all-new Chrysler 300 sedan is built on a new platform provides rear-wheel and all-wheel drivetrain flexibility. Available power with the 2005 Chrysler 300C is a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine producing 340 horsepower. A high-performance 425-horsepower 300C SRT-8 is also available. A heavily-revised Chrysler Town & Country minivan arrives in 2005 with optional side curtain airbags, available Sirius satellite radio and greater interior flexibility through a feature called Stow ‘n Go seating. Maintaining a regular and extended wheelbase model for 2005, the all-wheel drive variant of the Town & Country is no longer available. After one year on the market, Chrysler has expanded the line-up for their two-seat Crossfire in 2005 with a convertible and a 330-horsepower, performance-tailored SRT6 model. In addition to the open-top Crossfire, the 2005 PT Cruiser also jumps on the convertible bandwagon. The Chrysler PT Cruiser convertible is a two-door, four-passenger vehicle. The 2005 Pacifica crossover now touts a three-trim level line-up.
