Volvo’s somewhat modest updates to its 2019 lineup are still welcome changes, like the sportier makeover and larger body of the V60 and a new Harmon Kardon sound system and front-wheel drive option for the XC60. However, Volvo had big plans in store for others, focusing most of its attention on its XC90 and XC40. The XC90 gets a new trim level called Excellence, which adds luxurious perks to the line, like a rear-seat fridge, mitigation braking, fold-out tray tables, and an optional Harmon Kardon audio system. XC40 is all-new for the year, offering optional all-wheel drive, two powertrain choices, and a plethora of standard technology like road sign recognition, automatic emergency braking, an eight-speaker sound system, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The S60 also received upgrades to its powertrain options and gains a T8 Polestar Engineered limited edition trim with sport-tuned suspension and 19-inch wheels.
